Our Farm & Our Meat
Where does your meat come from?
We raise all of the beef, lamb and chicken that we offer for sale in our farm store, RIGHT HERE ON THE FARM - where we BUILT the store (just, at the other end of it). On your drive out, you’ll likely pass our farm on Croton line and see the cows on pasture enjoying the sunshine. We work with other trusted, reputable local farmers for the items we don’t personally raise; Turkey’s (seasonally), Pork, Fish & Canadian Seafood. To learn more visit Our Meat section
How are your animals raised?
Our animals are raised with care using ethical, transparent, and sustainable farming practices that prioritize animal welfare, health, and flavour. To learn more visit Our Animals page.
Do you use hormones, antibiotics, or additives?
No, we do not. We believe in sustainable, natural farming practices. It’s better for our animals, and the environment plus - it actually SAVES our customers money. Treating animals with medications is a significant cost, which has to be recouped elsewhere at the price to the consumer. By using natural, ethical and transparent practices we are actually SAVING money + benefiting our animals which = a better, higher quality, more affordable product. ALL OF OUR MEAT IS HORMONE AND ANTIBIOTIC FREE
Is your meat local?
Yes. Our meat is raised locally on our farm and processed with care to ensure quality, traceability, and integrity.
Why does your meat look or taste different than grocery store meat?
To speak plainly - it’s simply BETTER. There is absolutely no comparison to “grocery store” products and ours. Our products are 1) fully traceable back to our farm or farm of origin 2) NOT mass produced in giant barns or industrial packing plants; we cut, and package everything by hand right here ourselves in our state of the art butcher shop with our artesian butchery team. 3) you’re purchasing directly from US and our family farm, there is no middle man or third party companies here - we are truly FARM TO TABLE
Meat Products & Pre-Orders
Are all products available online?
Yes and no - we have hundreds of cuts in our on farm store, the best selection will always be IN STORE; we have select items such as Beef, Pork, Tallow and Tallow Skincare (Camden Tallow) available to purchase online. You can preview prices of seasonal items such as chicken and lamb online - for intended purchase in store as inventory allows. If you’d like to add those items to your order, contact our farm store directly via email, call or text and one of our friendly and knowledgeable team members will happily help guide you through those steps! ALL items in store and online are eligible for delivery.
Are products priced per item or per weight?
In store meat items are always priced PER LB and weighed upon checkout - online items are priced per piece (some conditions apply)
Are your products fresh or frozen?
In the farm store, you’ll find a large selection of FRESH AND FROZEN items; all items sold online will be FROZEN unless indicated or desired otherwise.
How do pre-orders work?
With pre-orders, you’ll pay a deposit to secure your item or custom cut. We’ll provide an approximate final price based on the average product weight. The remaining balance is calculated using the actual weight of your specific cut or product and will be charged to the same method of payment once your order is ready for pickup or delivery. You’re welcome to include notes or special requests with your order.
Can I order other items with my pre-order?
Yes — but it depends on the type of pre-order.
Seasonal pre-orders (such as turkeys or prime rib) are pickup only and are best placed as a separate order. If ordered with other items, you’ll be asked whether you’d like everything held until the pre-order is ready or if you’d prefer to pick up other items earlier.
Short-term pre-orders (such as tomahawk steaks) must be delivered or shipped together with the rest of the order. We’re unable to split delivery or shipping dates. If you need items at different times, please place separate orders.
